Store shoppers exceeded everyone’s expectations even though our economy isn’t very good right now. Although it showed that people are very willing to spend money, it does not show whether or not this will make the economy better, worse or stay the same. Most people made purchases they did not plan to buy because they were “dirt cheap”. The NRF still predicts that the holiday sales will be down from last year.
